What training do you offer?

We have an expansive training programme from induction, through mandatory courses and onto more specialised training organised to ensure our staff are well-prepared to match clients’ needs. Most of our staff have also undertaken Certificate III or IIII in Disability or Community Service.

Can I have another job as well as work for your agency?

Yes. Some staff use Pure Ability to ‘top up’ their income. It’s an ideal way to work in a different setting to other work. The key is communication, letting Pure Ability know the times, you do and do not want work, and you do this by programming your App to vacant.

How do I get paid?

You must clock-in on your mobile app.  By doing this you will get paid fortnightly straight into your bank account, your salary should arrive during Wednesday night.

What are the benefits of working for an agency?

Many agency workers prefer the flexibility it offers. They can choose where and when they work, the shifts are varied, and it is great for widening your experience and horizon. With progressive agencies, such as Pure Ability, offering other benefits, not previously associated with agency work (e.g. ongoing training), there are even more benefits than ever before.

What experience do I need?

You will need a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a relevant setting.

What job roles do you cover?

Pure Ability covers all types of work in the disability sector.  Most of our work is with established disability organisations supporting them with covering shift at respite, accommodating/ group home, day programs, supported employment and one to one.

How flexible is the work?

The advantage of working for an agency is the work can be extremely flexible. You let us know when and where you want to work. If the shifts coincide with these times, then we will offer you work.

Do you offer permanent work?

Yes. Many of our clients ask us to assist them recruit their permanent staff, and therefore it is always useful to send us your up-to-date C.V. and availability for permanent work.  Our shift work, however is also ongoing.  So although the hours are not guaranteed, it does offer consistent work in a variety of settings. Additionally, many of our staff who fit in well with certain clients are taken on via our ‘temp to perm’ scheme.  It is a chance for both our staff and clients to make sure it is the right move for them.

What geographical area do you cover?

At this stage Pure Ability, cover greater Sydney area from the mountains to the hills, from the southern bays to the northern beaches.
